Logan's Gotta Feeling

Logan has been so fun lately. He LOVES the song "I Gotta Feeling' from Black Eyed Peas and sings it all the time. Today he really wanted to listen to it so I got the camera out to capture the moment. You might get dizzy watching it but it is so fun!

My Shows are Back!!!

I am so excited that the Fall TV Shows are starting. I know, Ben, I am a dork. I can hear you saying it outl oud now as I type. Anyway, after a summer of some decent shows (The Closer, Burn Notice, Royal Pains, So You Think You Can Dance) it is time for the real shows to start. I think I finally have them all programed into the DVR and am ready to have some high quality, educational, fun TV watching. I thought I would show what I am so excited for. This list does not even include the new ones I will try out (NCIS: LA, Trauma, Three Rivers, Modern Family, The Forgotten, Mercy, and a few more I cannot remember right now). Please let me know if I am missing any that I should have on this list!

My Ainsley

And now, for my Ainsley...

Ainsley is our more unpredictable child. She is stubborn and moody but since school has started, she has been beaming with joy. When I pick her up from school, she is all smiles and hugs and walks to the car doing a beauty pageant style wave yelling, "Goodbye Matteo, Goodbye Joshua, Goodbye Chloe, Goodbye Angel, etc..." She is always telling me about her new friends and that everyone likes her and wants to play with her. She is not lacking in confidence at all! She even told me last night that she wants to play soccer again. I told her she would need to wait another year for sign ups and then asked her why she wanted to play again. She answered, "Because I will be really good at it." She then told me to watch her run and dribble down the field, telling me how fast she is. She has been so happy and I have really enjoyed getting to know this side of her. She is really doing well right now. I will embrace it while I can!!!

My Logan

Logan has been so fun with the girls gone to school all day. I have him all to myself from 8:30 until 2:10. He is adorable. I was worried that he would be bored, but no MY LOGAN! Today he kept making me laugh. I had some screw drivers out to work on something and the next think I know I cannot find them and I see Logan using them as swords against a bunch of Little People. Too Funny.

As I continued my To Do list into my bedroom, he loved using the cleaning wipes to help me clean everything. As he disappeared into my bedroom, I peek over to see what he was doing and he was dancing with my bra on his head. I was so tempted to get a camera but realized no-one needs to see my bra let alone my kid dancing with it on his head. It would have been awesome to show on his wedding day though!

Later, he was going through my make up and he had my mascara in his hand. I looked at him and told him, "No Logan, Put it Down!" He looks at me and says in the funniest high pitch voice, "Oh, No, Help Me, I am falling down. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!" I watched as he slide the mascara from his hand making it fall. Then he just looked at me with the biggest smile. I was laughing so hard. He is starting to pretend play all the time. He is so different than the girls and I LOVE it!!!

My Madison

Last night we were coming home late from a fun evening at Ben's parents house. Every Sunday we get to go there for a family dinner and we are so lucky we live so close to them that we can. On our way home, I told the kids they needed to go to bed very quickly so we can get a lot of sleep for the week ahead. Logan asks, "Why?" Then Ainsley decided she wanted to know, "Why do we need to sleep anyway mom?" I explained to them that our body needs sleep so we can grow big and strong and stay healthy. Then I hear Madison from the back of the van, "Ohhhhhhh, so that is why I am so short! I have a really hard time falling asleep mom!" Too funny.

Madison has been obsessed with reading. I love that she loves to read, I never did and I think it would have helped in high school and college! I have been finding her, however, hiding under her sheets with a little flashlight trying to read longer. I went in last night and she was laying on her back with her eyes closed, pretending to sleep. I went over to check around her bed for any clues that she had been reading and I did not need to look very hard. She still had her glasses on! I took them off gently, playing along with her pretending and then I hear, "no mom! I have so many thoughts in my head, I need to read to relax more!" Oh- Madison, what am I going to do with your drama!!!

Labor Day Camping

We just got back from a great camping trip over Labor Day weekend. We went with our friends, the Bairds, and we all had so much fun. We stayed right outside Yosemite. We could not go into Yosemite due to some road closures with the fire going on but we still had a lot of fun. The kids loved getting dirty, playing in the river, making Tie Dye shirts, riding in a canoe (kindof), playing golf (kindof), making smores, and just being outside. Madison, Ben and Logan all got stung by bees but at least now we know they are not allergic! Here are some pictures from out trip. The kids are already asking when we get to go camping again! We will definitely do it again. Thanks, Michelle and Matt, for coming with us. We really enjoyed the company and the kids loved having some friends to play with.

Here is a wedding picture and some engagement pictures. Too Funny!
