Evil Ainsley

As we got set up in our new house, we have decided to try out AT & T Uverse with our computer, phones and television. So far, I LOVE it. Part of what you get is a lot of FREE Video on Demand options. They have tons of children's shows and storybooks being read. The girls have really enjoyed it. The other day I let them watch Rumpelstiltskin (sp?) (What a weird show all those old fairy tales are!) Anyway, later that day the girls were playing in their new favorite toy room under our staircase. It is huge with a light and they have it set up as a little house. They love it and I love it. I walked passed the room in time to hear Ainsley in a very loud and scary voice tell Madison, "I will take your first born child!" I was laughing so hard and had to figure out where she learned it from. She would be the perfect Rumpelstiltskin!

It's Not My Fault...

Today I let Madison play some computer games in the morning with the promise that she will get ready when I ask her to. The time came for her to get ready and I let her finish up the game she was playing. I checked back 5 minutes later and she had started another game. I reminded her of her promise and she said, "It was not my fault that I started another game, mom. Diego told me I had to do it. He told me I had to help save the baby jaguar and to do it quickly!" I could not help but laugh at how serious she was. I then had to let her know that Diego will always be asking her to help save something but we still need to get dressed for the day. What a funny girl.

We've Moved!

Wow, what a crazy last couple of weeks. One minute I am excited about finally having a normal week to get some stuff done, the next we are moving. We received a call from some friends of ours who were selling their house and getting their final offers. They gave us an offer that was too good to pass up. We love their house and were eventually going to move anyway, just not as soon as this. We took the opportunity and moved this last Saturday. We love the house with a lot more extra room and we love the yard with a beautiful pool to enjoy during this hot weather. the kids have really enjoyed it and as I get more and more settled, I am enjoying it too. I think I enjoy the idea of never moving again even more. So, we are alive and well and look forward to having people over very soon.

Madison the Push Up Queen

A lot has happened in the last couple of weeks. Ben and I have decided to move our family to a different house. It is a beautiful house that we are very, very excited about. The girls have been "helpful" with packing (at times) and at other times they are going to kill each other. The other day I asked Madison to help me bring all her toys from her room downstairs for us to pack. She actually did it and I told her how surprised I was that she was able to bring all those toys down. She replied, "I knew I could do it because I have been doing like 20 push ups a day." I had no idea she knew what a push up was, let alone that she is doing 20 a day. I think this is one of those time I will have to see it to believe it though.

Meanwhile, Ainsley has been busy telling me all the things she will miss in our current house. "Mom, I will miss the doors and the walls. What about the closets mom? Do we take those with us? I will miss the stairs and the counters." I have tried to explain the new house has walls and doors etc...but she still is very sad. Strange girl!

I wanted to post this picture to show how funny my husband and his brother and father are. To display the fireworks better, they put up two ladders and then a board between them. The fireworks are at eye level and you can see them shower to the ground. The Brown Family men put on quite a show for the family. They are still all dorks, but we love them.

My Husband the Dork

Someone at Ben's office sent an email around with this picture and caption:

"I’m sure most of you have taken a look outside and have seen the dense shroud of ash that will surely shorten our life expectancies. I wonder if anyone has thought to question this guy!!"

And Yes, these are all the fireworks we were so blessed to watch all night on the 4th. My husband likes this holiday a little too much!

Last Comic Standing Favorite

Ben and I are really enjoying Last Comic Standing and the other night my favorite one (so far) did a funny, mostly clean performance that I can post. I thought it was very amusing so maybe it will give you some laughs too.

Visit with Grandpa and Aunt Danielle

The kids and I had so much fun visiting Grandpa Mike and Aunt Danielle last week. We were busy every day playing in the backyard, going to the fair, going to McDonalds, going to the school playground, and laughing a lot. What fun memories were created. We look forward to many more trips to the Bay Area.

Quotes of the Day

Today I was getting the girls ready for the day and asked Madison if she was ready to go to Chuck E. Cheese. Her reply, "Yep-where a kid can be a kid!"

The girls had a great time with Grandpa at Chuck E. Cheese. Logan was very, very cute playing the games and watching all the action. We won a lot of tickets so the girls got to get some prizes. As we were leaving, the girls had some funny things to say:

Madison: "This is the best day of my life. You know why? I have lemonade, cotton candy and a lot of prizes!"

Ainsley: "Mom, do you remember the other day you were telling us that we do not always get everything that we want? Well today, I got everything I wanted! I got cotton candy AND all the prizes I wanted. What a wonderful treat!" (If only Cotton Candy and small cheap prizes was "all she ever wanted!" My life would be easier and less expensive!

Ainsley being Ainsley

Tonight at my parents house, I was looking all over for Logan and Ainsley. I found them both in the backyard swinging and I said,"Oh Ainsley, Logan is out here with you! I was looking for him." She responds with, "Oh, Yes,(in the same tone I said it) he is, and I don't like it one bit!" You can always count on Ainsley to be honest about her feelings. Watch out though, she will lie to your face about everything else. She keeps me on my toes. We all need one of those right???

Girls Go to the Fair

The girls and I came down to the bay area to hang out with Grandpa and Aunt Danielle. I am mainly posting this for my mom since she was not able to join in the fun. My sister, Monica, had her baby early so my mom flew to Ohio to be there with her. (Congrats Monica!) That did not stop the girls from going to the Alameda County fair with Grandpa and Aunt Danielle. They had a great time. Danielle was nice enough to take her camera and get some great pictures of the fun. Thanks Danielle! I got to stay home and hang out with Logan. So mom, enjoy the slide show I put together just for you.
