Logan Leigh Brown

I realized the other day that I never posted on Logan's Birthday. I posted for the girls on their birthdays so I feel I should acknowledge Logan for his.

Logan Leigh was born at 9:19 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2007. Ben had told me several times that I needed to go into labor on a Friday so he would not have to miss work (since it was in the middle of busy season). I went to an appt. on Friday morning and my blood pressure was high and I was already dilated to a 3 (too much information) so my wonderful doctor sent me in for "observation" knowing they would admit me.

After my easiest labor, Logan was born late that night weighing in at 8 lbs 1.6 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. We were all so excited to have our little boy. I cannot imagine my life without him. I could not have asked for a more enjoyable little boy. Here are some of my favorite pictures of Logan. Happy Late Birthday Logan!!!

Prom Again?

Ben called me early this week and said I needed to get a sitter and a formal for an American Heart Association Benefit. His work needed some people to go. After much drama in finding a modest formal during prom season (I cannot believe what girls are wearing these days!) I found one I loved and Ben got a tux. It felt like we were suppose to head off to prom! We had a wonderful evening and had fun with the girls taking pictures before we left. The girls wanted us to pose for the camera so here is what we got.

We had a great Easter this year. The kids were really cute and seemed to really have fun. Here are some pictures:

Update

Wow, I have not been blogging like I use to. I will have to do my best to get all caught up. What is going on in our lives today:

-Ben got released from the Bishopric after 4 years. After 40 minutes of Sacrament Meeting with the family he turned to me and said, "I want to go back up to the stand!" I keep telling him that things are much easier than during the baby stages but it is still not "easy". He has no idea!

-Ben and I have booked a cruise in October. We get to go away for 7 nights with some great friends and I am so excited!!! It cannot come soon enough.

-I am training to do a 1/2 marathon on May 1st. After watching Biggest Loser and seeing all them finish, I know I can finish. I just want to do it in a good time for me. I am learning that you can have good days and bad days with running. Let's hope for a good day that day! I need to let go of my competitiveness and just be happy with accomplishing a goal. We'll see if that happens!

-Logan turned 3 years old. I did not post anything about him on his birthday. What a slacker I am. He is so much fun. He is potty trained and sleeping in a "big boy bed" and is so fun to be around.

-Ben is wrapping up busy season. Ben came home for dinner tonight, which is always an event when he is with us, and then had to run an errand. After he left, Logan says to me, "Where is daddy?" I said he had to go somewhere. He replies, "Oh, man, but I like him." Too cute.

-Ainsley is Ainsley. After telling her friends at school that her dad looked like Michael Jackson, I arrived to her classroom the next week to have her classmates ask me if Ainsley's dad was dead. They said Ainsley said her dad was dead. Wow, looks like Michael Jackson and died too! Crazy girl. We are working on it.

I think that is all for now. Only a month and a half of school left. We are anxious for warm weather and to start swimming. We have swim lessons in May. The kids are excited.

Ben and Michael Jackson???

A friend of mine that volunteers in Ainsley's classroom told me an interesting story yesterday. She said that a child in the class was talking about Michael Jackson and saying he was the best singer and dancer.

Ainsley turned to the student and said, "My dad looks like Michael Jackson."

I think Ainsley was trying to "one up" the person but I think Ben might be offended. What do you think??? I totally see the resemblance (what???). Oh, my Ainsley.

Red Robin Adventure

Last night, our family went with another family to Red Robin. The kids were doing great and we had just received our food when the manager came over and informed us that there was a fire on top of the building and we needed to evacuate.

Of course, the adults grab their burgers and salad wraps and we leave the kid's food (it was glass bowls with mac and cheese!). We had to leave but all the food we did consume was free. We were happy we grabbed ours:)

The kids all reacted very differently to the drama. Logan was oblivious to the entire situation. Madison was very scared and crying very hard. Ainsley thought it was really cool to see the fire trucks and firemen. She wondered if we would be on the news or in the newspaper.

As we drove from Red Robin to Carl's Jr. to finish feeding the children, Ainsley all of a sudden started crying hysterically. I was very confused since she was my brave one and seemed to enjoy the situation. Then I heard,

"But I didn't get to eat my Mac and Cheese!" "What about my Mac and Cheese?" "I Love Red Robin Mac and Cheese!"

I tried to let her know that we should focus on the fact that we are all safe and together and that nothing happened to anyone. She responded, "But you and daddy got to finish your food!" I was going to tell her I did not get to finish my soup or fries but somehow I thought that would not really help the situation.

I thought this was very amusing. Oh- My Ainsley.

A Story By Madison

When my uncle,Ryan, was 17 he found a small, brown, and black kitten in the middle of the road.He rescued the kitten and named it Willy.He took Willy home, but Willy stays at my grandpa's house.Now, uncle Ryan calls Willy "My kitty".I love Willy.
